The Loop 918 project has always been about creating atmosphere with music. I build layers of sound using cello, loops, and electronic elements to create ambient soundscapes that people can sit with and experience.
Recently I have been adding projection art to go along with the music. Projection art lets me bring a visual side to what I am already doing with sound. I have spent time learning how projection tools work and how they respond to music and different spaces. Right now I am experimenting with different visuals and seeing how they fit with my live looping performances.
My goal is not just to add visuals on top of the music, but to have the sound and visuals work together so the whole performance feels like one experience. As I keep developing this, I will be sharing more of these ideas and performances through the Loop 918 project.
